Creative Events & Making

I don’t just design- I make, too.

Hello!

Creative thinker meets creative doer. Workshops run under my sister brand Able Makes, where ideas get a little messier and a lot more hands-on.

From learning new skills to creating something you can actually take home, it’s all about getting stuck in and having fun with the process. It’s my way of bringing creativity & colour off the screen and into the real world.

Workshop- Mediterranean Living Wreath

Sunday 27th June

9am-11am | 11:30am-1:30pm | 2pm-4pm

The Mistal Barn, Yummy Yorkshire, HD8 8XY

Join us in the rustic Mistal Barn at Yummy Yorkshire for a relaxed and inspiring workshop, where you’ll create your own elegant living wreath from scratch—both decorative and deliciously practical.

Hosted by myself (Laura) a designer with a passion for making with natural materials, alongside Diane, a creative gardener with a keen eye for planting, this hands-on session will guide you through each stage crafting a woven wreath filled with fragrant Mediterranean herbs and flowers that you can enjoy for months.

You’ll work with a carefully selected mix of rosemary, thyme, sage, chives, lavender and nasturtiums—chosen for their scent, texture and culinary charm.

Perfect for hanging in your kitchen, on a doorway, or beside your outdoor dining space; your wreath will be as useful as it is beautiful.

Workshops are available in both morning and afternoon sessions, each lasting approximately 2hours.

£45 per person, including all materials.

*No previous experience is necessary, we will guide you though each stage with care and attention. However, if you have some secateurs and gardening gloves these are handy but not essential! This workshop is suitable for age 14 (with supervision from accompanying adult). The Barn is rustic and cosy but does not have heating so please dress to keep yourself toasty.

About the venue: Set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Yummy Yorkshire offers food, award winning Ice Cream & makers markets with a relaxed Yorkshire welcome.
A charming and friendly venue, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy our inspiring wreath workshop with great food and company. Why not make a day of it? The thoughtfully curated Market On The Farm will also be taking place on site that weekend—ideal for a gentle browse.
